Job Summary:
A successful IT Solutions Provider is searching for a seasoned Tax Director/VP to join their team. This person will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's income tax and sales and use tax functions. This includes strategic oversight of tax compliance, planning, and reporting across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions. The role ensures accurate and timely tax filings, maintains compliance, and serves as the primary liaison with tax authorities and external auditors. Tax Director/ VP (Remote)
Job Summary:
A successful IT Solutions Provider is searching for a seasoned Tax Director/VP to join their team. This person will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's income tax and sales and use tax functions. This includes strategic oversight of tax compliance, planning, and reporting across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions. The role ensures accurate and timely tax filings, maintains compliance, and serves as the primary liaison with tax authorities and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns, including income and sales/use taxes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely remittance of tax liabilities. Maintain and manage sales tax exemption certificates and global tax registrations. Lead tax audits and coordinate responses to inquiries from tax authorities. Research tax issues and provide documented recommendations to management. Support strategic tax planning and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Tax emphasis preferred). CPA preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in income tax and sales/use tax. Experience with AR, AP, or billing is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of tax codes, GAAP, and accounting principles. Proficient in tax research and documentation. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Proficiency in accounting and tax software systems.
