Job Summary
The Director of Solar Manufacturing Operations will oversee day-to-day production and plant operations at BaRupOn's solar manufacturing facility. This associate-level leadership role is focused on execution: supervising manufacturing teams, maintaining output targets, ensuring quality control, and enforcing safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial or solar product manufacturing, strong team leadership, and a hands-on approach to operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage daily production schedules and manufacturing floor operations Supervise shift leads, line operators, and maintenance teams Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, quality, and throughput Monitor KPIs: output, downtime, defect rate, and on-time delivery Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and internal manufacturing standards Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and engineering teams to support production goals Conduct regular training and safety briefings for plant staff Report production status and improvement plans to senior leadership Qualifications 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in solar, electronics, or assembly line environments Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Operations, or related field (required) Strong leadership and personnel management experience Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and basic root cause analysis Ability to read production drawings, assembly plans, and QA documentation Proficient in production tracking tools (Excel, ERP/MRP systems, or similar) Able to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment Preferred Certifications OSHA 30 or manufacturing safety training Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt or lean manufacturing training Forklift / equipment operation certification (a plus) Benefits Competitive hourly wage: $26 - $34/hour, depending on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holiday pay Advancement opportunities in clean energy manufacturing leadership
