Location: Berwyn, IL (Onsite)

Position Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Contract Duration: 90 Days (Expected Start: November 9, 2025 - End: February 22, 2026)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physicians and nurses in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes. This role requires strong technical expertise in operating Cath Lab equipment and a patient-centered approach to care delivery.

Key Responsibilities: Assess, prepare, and position patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring during procedures as required. Prepare, implement, and document patient care plans throughout the procedure process. Communicate patient status to physicians and nursing staff before, during, and after procedures. Assist physicians with diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Set up, operate, and maintain all necessary equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures. Ensure adherence to safety, aseptic, and infection control standards at all times. Maintain accurate procedural and equipment documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technician or in a similar cardiovascular lab setting. Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular anatomy. Proficiency with Cath Lab equipment, imaging systems, and sterile technique. Certification or licensure as required by state or institutional regulations (RCIS or ARRT (CI) preferred). Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and ensure patient safety during high-stress situations. Work Environment:

Onsite, hospital-based position within a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Fast-paced clinical setting requiring strong teamwork and attention to detail. Standard weekday schedule; occasional on-call or extended hours may be required based on department needs.
