Licensed Practical Nurse Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides personalized care to patients under the supervision of the Director of Medical Services. You will play a vital role in implementing medication control policies and assisting physicians and pharmacists in complying with federal and state regulations pertaining to methadone treatment. Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate understanding of addiction and methadone maintenance. Maintain knowledge of various medications. Ensure safe and correct operation of medical equipment. Deliver treatment services that are considerate of the personal and cultural identities of clients and their families. Show respect and dignity in every interaction with clients and their families. Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments. Exhibit knowledge and sound judgment in all areas of care provided. Perform nursing skills safely, including Mantoux testing, venipuncture, and EKGs. Document patient interactions according to current standards and policies, ensuring completion within the shift. Educate clients on health-related topics and infectious diseases. Engage in performance improvement initiatives. Cultivate effective communication and strong working relationships within the agency. Perform additional tasks as required or assigned. Provide individualized health coaching to help patients achieve their health goals. Requirements/Education: Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program. Current Pennsylvania LPN licensure. At least one year of experience in a health-related field; knowledge of methadone maintenance is a plus. Physical Demands: Work in a moderately controlled environment regarding temperature and noise. Sit at a desk for extended periods. Utilize close vision for computer work. Engage in repetitive motions while using a computer.
