Guide and mentor less experienced Correctional Officers. Maintain institutional security and promote the health and welfare of inmates. Enforce regulations related to facility security, inmate accountability, and conduct to ensure judicial sanctions are effectively carried out. Possibly authorized to carry firearms and utilize physical force, including deadly force, to maintain order. Be prepared to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, especially during emergencies or high workload periods. Utilize provided information from various resources such as post orders and internal communications to effectively perform duties.
