Position Summary The Maintenance Planner plays a key role in supporting plant reliability and efficiency by coordinating maintenance activities, managing work orders, and ensuring timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to grow in industrial maintenance planning within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities • Assigning new work to various planning and maintenance teams, daily. • Assist in developing and maintaining preventive and demand maintenance schedules for equipment and utilities. • Create, update, and close work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). • Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production staff, and vendors to plan and schedule maintenance activities. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, parts usage, and equipment downtime. • Support inventory management of spare parts and tools. • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP).
Essential Skills • Strong organizational and project management skills. The position requires the management of multiple complex work projects with many variations in labor, contracts, purchasing, and technical planning. • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or utility systems. • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Planner, PowerBI, Loop, and OneNote). • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams quickly and concisely. • Attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
