About the Opportunity
Our client, a highly regarded hospital imaging department, is seeking an experienced
Mammography Technologist
to join their team. This role is ideal for a skilled, patient-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to precision, quality, and compassionate care.
You'll perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using state-of-the-art equipment while working closely with radiologists, physicians, and support staff to ensure excellence in diagnostic imaging and patient experience.
What You'll Do Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams according to established protocols. Ensure compliance with all
radiation safety
and
quality assurance
procedures. Prepare, position, and explain procedures to patients in a professional and reassuring manner. Maintain accurate imaging and patient documentation. Conduct daily equipment checks and support
ACR
and
MQSA
accreditation activities. Identify and report any equipment issues or patient concerns promptly. Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams to maintain smooth workflow. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited
Radiologic Technology
or
Mammography Technology
program. Current
Texas Medical Board (MRT)
license (active or temporary). ARRT-R
(Radiologic Technologist) and
ARRT-M
(Mammography) certifications required. At least
4 years of mammography experience
in a hospital or imaging center. Basic or Advanced Life Support certification. Ability to lift and position patients as necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Experience coordinating imaging schedules or assisting with quality audits. Familiarity with
Joint Commission
standards and quality review processes. Knowledge of
ACR accreditation
and
MQSA compliance
