The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping, implementing, and overseeing a robust information security risk management initiative. This position requires a deep technical expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), disaster recovery management, identity and access management, and cyber operations. The CISO will lead daily security operations and strategically execute security initiatives to safeguard the organization’s data and systems from evolving cybersecurity threats. Key responsibilities include collaborating across teams to formulate incident response plans, effectively balancing security risk management with business priorities, and cultivating a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, alongside a CISSP certification. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in information cybersecurity, particularly in the healthcare arena, is essential. The successful candidate will blend technical prowess with strong leadership abilities and be skilled at anticipating future challenges, mentoring a dynamic team, and communicating effective security strategies. Experience in security technologies, cloud security, and best practices is critical. Familiarity with regulations such as HIPAA, NIST, and PCI, paired with a solid track record in incident response and managing third-party vendor security risks, is expected.
