Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is on the lookout for a proactive Director of Investment Accounting to join our expanding operations. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving process improvements, particularly within our investment accounting function. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong history of leading transformation initiatives. In this high-impact position, you will manage GAAP and statutory accounting for the investment portfolio and oversee the month-end and quarter-end close processes for investment-related entries. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing key U.S. statutory schedules and GAAP disclosures for investment reporting, supporting reporting needs for our foreign operations, and maintaining rigorous internal control procedures. Additionally, you will contribute to fair value assessments and impairment reviews of investments. We invite applicants with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent, and at least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance sectors. A solid understanding of investment accounting under U.S. GAAP and familiarity with statutory reporting in an insurance environment is essential. Familiarity with systems such as PAM and Bloomberg would be advantageous. This role requires proven leadership capabilities, a strong analytical mindset, and a proactive problem-solving orientation.
