Brockton Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and coordinate the district's procurement operations. The ideal candidate will ensure all purchasing and contracting activities comply with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL), particularly Chapter 30B, and local policies. This role is essential in supporting the district's mission to provide high-quality education by managing resources efficiently and ethically. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, manage procurement strategies aligned with district goals. • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts procurement laws, including MGL c. 30B, c. 149, and c. 7C. • Prepare, issue, and evaluate bids, RFPs, RFQ's, and contracts for goods, services, and construction projects in accordance with state and local procurement laws. • Collaborate with school and central office staff to assess purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement. • Maintain accurate records of contracts, bids, and vendor communications. • Monitor vendor performance and resolve any procurement-related issues. • Stay up to date on changes in procurement laws and best practices. • Provide training and guidance to staff regarding procurement procedures. • Work closely with Finance, Facilities, Technology, and other departments to support district operations. • Other duties as assigned or required by the CFO/Asst Superintendent or designee Qualifications: Required: • Certification as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in public procurement and contract management • Strong working knowledge of Massachusetts public procurement laws (especially MGL c. 30B) and bidding procedures • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MUNIS or other public sector financial software systems Strongly Preferred: • Experience in a K-12 public school or municipal environment Benefits: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Participation in Massachusetts Teachers' or Municipal Retirement System • Health, dental, and life insurance • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave • Professional development opportunities
