Summary Meta seeks a highly motivated team player to join a team of attorneys responsible for handling privileged and complex internal investigations on matters relating to a host of legal risk areas, including anti-corruption, cyber-security, anti-money laundering, securities, competition law, international trade and fraud. The ideal candidate will also help Meta assess and identify potential legal and regulatory risk as well as identify programmatic areas in which the company can strengthen its systems of accounting, compliance and integrity controls. This attorney will work closely with cross-functional partners to appropriately scope, investigate and remediate matters, mitigating risk for the company. The ideal candidate will have exceptional investigative skills, experience assessing different types of risk, and bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a dynamic organization. Associate General Counsel, Special Investigations Responsibilities

Conduct internal investigations across the globe of matters relating to anti-corruption, cyber security, anti-money laundering, securities, competition law, international trade and fraud and other areas involving potential criminal and regulatory liability

Retain and manage outside counsel relating to investigation matters

Ensure investigations result in remediations that maintain an environment of compliance and make Meta’s robust compliance infrastructure even stronger

Minimum Qualifications

J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)

Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)

5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience

5+ years relevant experience conducting investigations

Demonstrates experience assessing risk

Effective communication skills

Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and background in conducting internal investigations

Experience building relationships and working in a cross functional team to address complex legal challenges

Demonstrated knowledge of tech-regulatory landscape, authorities and frameworks

Public Compensation $198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
