Our client is seeking a strategic financial leader to establish and guide their financial operations as they scale. This role is pivotal in building robust financial infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and delivering precise financial reporting to support rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement comprehensive accounting systems and internal controls from scratch. Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statements. Develop and enforce accounting policies aligned with GAAP and startup best practices. Oversee internal AR and AP processes. Collaborate with external partners and prepare documentation for audits. Manage relationships with banks, vendors, investors, and financial service providers. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 2-3 years in a controller or senior accounting role. Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and Excel. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-finance team members. Proactive problem-solver with a strategic mindset. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Success Factors:
