Position Overview

Are you a self-motivated, highly organized team-player with experience providing equipment, machinery, structures, and grounds maintenance? Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced warehouse environment where safety and efficiency are top priorities? If so, join our team as Distribution Center Maintenance Technician!

In this role, you'll be a critical part of the team, ensuring the facilities, equipment and grounds of the distribution center are kept in excellent condition to support the safe and efficient movement of goods to, from, and throughout the warehouse. You'll use blueprints, diagrams, manuals and written instructions to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on key equipment, machinery, electrical systems and structures. You'll ensure the upkeep of a clean, organized and full-functional distribution center environment.

Tech 1 and Tech 2, 1st Shift - Monday-Thursday, 5:30a-4:00p

Tech 2, 2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday, 4:30p-3:00a

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).

Diagnose and repair motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, encoders, and related components.

Perform adjustments, repairs, or replacements on belts, chains, cables, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys, and other wearing or adjustable parts.

Calibrate, align, and maintain scanners, cameras, field buses, scales, and printer applicators.

Conduct preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of equipment.

Assist with basic troubleshooting of electronics and Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).

Support maintenance and basic troubleshooting of industrial robots.

Accurately document work performed using handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps (e.g., work orders, labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, parts used).

Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out and Arc Flash requirements, and proactively address equipment safety hazards.

Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

You'll Come With

High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, symbols, blueprints, and schematics

Experience with work order management systems and preventive and predictive maintenance procedure

Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and/or maintaining automated conveyor systems and controls

Familiarity with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards

Commitment to following workplace safety procedures and ensuring a safe working environment

Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain)

PC proficiency and ability to use handheld devices/mobile apps

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical fields

2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance

Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)

Ability to troubleshoot Input/Output (I/O) functions

Experience with robotic operation and maintenance

Physical Demands (must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation):

Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above the head and below the waist

Lift and move totes or cartons weighing up to 49 lbs.

Walk frequently throughout the facility, including long distances

Safely climb ladders and gangways, and work from platforms and equipment at significant heights

Maintain full manual dexterity in hands, wrists, and feet for tasks such as pinching, grasping, holding, operating foot pedals, and repetitive wrist motion

Work in conditions that may include confined spaces, dust, odors/fumes, hot or cold temperatures, loud noise, vibration, wet or uneven surfaces, and prolonged standing on concrete

Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours per shift)

Pay Range: $25.50-$35.50
