is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Echo Tech
to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures and assist physicians in the evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This role plays a vital part in the early detection of heart abnormalities and in supporting cardiology teams with high-quality imaging.
Job Responsibilities
Perform echocardiographic exams including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow studies according to physician orders and established protocols. Assist in stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and contrast studies as needed. Position and prepare patients for procedures while explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety. Analyze and interpret preliminary echocardiographic findings for cardiologist review. Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of images, measurements, and patient data in electronic medical records. Maintain and clean equipment according to infection control and safety standards; report malfunctions promptly. Collaborate with cardiology, nursing, and diagnostic teams to coordinate patient care efficiently. Qualifications
Associate's degree or certificate
in cardiovascular technology or diagnostic medical sonography. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
or equivalent credential from ARDMS or CCI. Minimum 1 year of experience
performing cardiac ultrasounds in a clinical or hospital setting. Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics. Proficient with echocardiographic equipment and PACS systems. Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills. Benefits
