As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge products and enhancing existing designs. Your expertise will support engineering initiatives, oversee product testing, and collaborate with our testing lab, Resolute Technologies, to ensure product functionality and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Utilize advanced 3D modeling skills, particularly in Solidworks (3-5 years of experience preferred). Apply knowledge of Fiber Connector and Cable assembly. Transform conceptual designs into tangible products. Conduct product testing; create models and prototypes. Implement engineering principles in design and development. Lead new product design initiatives. Collaborate with Patent Attorneys regarding patents and clearances. Manage projects and develop comprehensive project plans. Work with Supply Chain to establish timelines for samples and parts delivery. Maintain effective communication with engineers, non-technical personnel, and customers. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree required (preferred major: Science or Engineering). 3-5 years of 3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred). 6-10 years in Fiber Optics or Connector Design. Experience with plastics is a plus. Willingness to travel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
