The Assistant Production Manager supports the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of
rebar fabrication
operations. This includes managing production schedules, supervising staff, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and meeting delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning: Assist in preparing daily and weekly production schedules based on project requirements and delivery timelines.
Workflow Coordination: Supervise cutting, bending, and assembly operations to ensure efficient use of materials and labor.
Quality Control: Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, codes, and customer specifications.
Inventory Management: Track raw material (rebar coils, straight bars) usage and maintain optimal stock levels.
Team Supervision: Lead and train fabrication workers, machine operators, and helpers; ensure safety and performance standards are met.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams for regular servicing of rebar cutting and bending machines.
Reporting: Prepare daily production and material usage reports; assist in cost control initiatives.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and company policies.
Experience:
3–7 years in steel or rebar fabrication, preferably with supervisory or production management experience.
Skills:
Strong understanding of rebar detailing and fabrication processes
Knowledge of bar bending schedules (BBS)
Leadership and communication skills
Familiarity with safety and quality management systems
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Production efficiency and output
On-time delivery rate
Material waste reduction
Equipment downtime reduction
Quality compliance percentage
