Position Overview
The
Mobile Inventory Control Specialist
is responsible for managing and tracking EnterSource's field inventory operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable material control across multiple job sites and company vehicles. This role is highly mobile, supporting field teams by maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating distribution, and ensuring that materials and equipment are accounted for and ready for use.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment. This position requires regular travel between job sites and collaboration with project managers, warehouse staff, and field technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control Manage inventory across multiple mobile units, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are properly tracked and maintained. Conduct regular audits of mobile and site inventories to maintain accurate records. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and implement corrective measures to prevent loss or shortages. Coordinate material requests, deliveries, and returns between the warehouse and field teams. Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of critical materials while minimizing excess inventory. Logistics & Coordination
Support daily project operations by ensuring teams have the correct materials, tools, and equipment at the right time and location. Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to forecast material needs and schedule replenishments. Maintain organized storage within mobile units and ensure compliance with company safety and handling standards. Data Entry & Reporting
Accurately record inventory transactions using company software systems. Generate and distribute regular inventory reports to management and project supervisors. Assist in implementing digital tracking tools or process improvements for real-time inventory visibility. Compliance & Safety
Adhere to all company safety protocols and ensure proper handling and storage of materials. Maintain vehicle logs and inspection reports to ensure mobile units meet safety and operational standards. Support the company's quality and compliance goals by maintaining clean, organized, and efficient mobile work environments. Requirements
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain operations (preferably in construction, utilities, or telecommunications). Experience using inventory management software and mobile data collection tools. Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management platforms. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel between job sites regularly. Working Conditions
Primarily field-based, with frequent travel between job sites and warehouse locations. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical inventory inspections.
