Job Summary

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing budgets, and driving cost control initiatives. This role is critical in supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining financial health in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The Finance Controller will provide leadership in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis Develop, monitor, and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with company objectives. Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability, and cost modelling, to support operational and strategic decisions. Partner with operations and program management teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of automotive programs, launches, and capital expenditures. Financial Control & Compliance

Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, corporate policies, tax regulations, and internal controls. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including financial statements and management reports. Oversee audits (internal and external) and ensure accurate, timely submissions to regulatory authorities. Cost & Inventory Management

Manage cost accounting for manufacturing operations, including BOM analysis, standard costing, and variance reporting. Monitor inventory valuation, scrap reporting, and cost reduction initiatives within production plants. Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize cost structures. Leadership & Strategy

Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to build strong financial discipline and business partnership capabilities. Support senior management in long-term strategic planning, business case evaluations, and investment decisions. Provide financial insights to drive efficiency improvements, capital utilization, and margin optimization. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a controller or senior financial management role. Strong background in the automotive manufacturing industry (Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier experience highly preferred). Proven experience in cost accounting, program/launch financials, and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Competencies
