Full-Time Job Summary
The
Material Handler Incoming Shipping
is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and managing incoming materials and components in compliance with organizational procedures and regulatory requirements, particularly under
ISO 13485
standards. This role ensures accurate documentation, labeling, and traceability of all incoming goods while maintaining adherence to the
Quality Management System (QMS) . Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders. Verify incoming materials meet required specifications and quality standards. Accurately log and label incoming goods for traceability and inventory control. Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for inspection and release of regulated or critical materials. Maintain proper segregation of non-conforming materials and follow non-conformance procedures. Ensure compliance with
ISO 13485
and internal
QMS
protocols in all material handling operations. Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using ERP or warehouse management systems. Assist in the documentation and execution of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to material discrepancies. Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient receiving and storage area. Support audits and inspections by providing relevant documentation and demonstrating compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with purchasing, quality, and production teams to resolve any receiving or material-related issues. Perform other shipping/receiving duties as required, including preparation of outgoing shipments. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical training a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling or receiving, preferably in a regulated or medical device environment. Familiarity with
ISO 13485
and
QMS
procedures is
required . Experience using ERP/WMS systems for inventory control and documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as packing slips, quality standards, and SOPs. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts certification preferred). Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a
medical device
or
regulated manufacturing
environment. Knowledge of
Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
and
GMP
principles. Familiarity with CAPA, NCR, and document control processes.
