Provides leadership to a team of employees that are responsible for the maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, tools, and support equipment to realize a company profit. The safety of the team members and maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
MAINTENANCE LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Comply to Corporate Machine Reliability requirements including, SAP PM, 5S, Lean, etc.
• Evaluate equipment and maintenance requirements, document maintenance procedures
• Focus on training employees in LMS for Safety, LOTO, OPEX, SAP, etc.
• Help introduce & manage the Maintenance team skills evaluation & qualification process
• Work with production scheduling to set PM schedule of equipment
• Assist operational excellence to streamline processes as required
• Utilize 4DX to improve shop and maintenance activities
• Provide coverage for your peers, (Building Maintenance Supervisor & Maintenance Manager) when they are unavailable
• Knowledge of facility support systems, such Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer, Air Compressor, Former Vacuum system, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Booster pumps, etc.
• Back up contact for Alarm System notifications
• Drive implementation of SAP- Plant Maintenance work order consumptions with the Team
• Help Maintain, thru the EE's the parts/stores area's utilizing Lean principals
• Identify Critical Parts to maintain machine up-time.
• Analyze min/max quantities and provide feedback as well as schedule Spare parts orders
• Identify Obsolete components and coordinate with OEM for upgrades
• Expedite all emergency parts and repair services to eliminate machine downtime
PLANNING RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise Parts room clerk/attendant
• Manage and ownership of the SAP Mobile system
• Planning for Machine Reliability by maintaining backlog of non-emergency maintenance work orders and review work orders and identify if work will be done in house or externally. If needed, scheduling of contractors and management of contractor POs
• Project parts identification/ordering/kitting
• Generate performance reports including SAP PM
• Puts together Bill of Materials, skill level employees needed, procedures and drawings and time needed in order to complete the job
• Coordinates with Crib attendant and MRO buyer to creating a BOM kit together of materials prior to the work being scheduled
• Analyze min/max quantities, orders, expedites and schedules materials necessary to meet plant operating requirements
• Provide recommendations for best ordering quantities to effect adequate supply and efficient purchasing considerations and order parts according to assessment of equipment
• Expedites all emergency parts and repair services to eliminate machine downtime
• Arranges repair services and shipment of items required to be outsourced
• Evaluates equipment and maintenance requirements.
• Manages maintenance work flow processes required to maintain an accurate maintenance database.
• Maintains data within SAP. Tack maintenance work order status, Preventive Maintenance performance
• Assist with planning/timeline of PM activities
• Assist operational excellence to streamline processes as required
• Develops standard work for routine jobs
• Identifies ways to reduce time and labor on internal/external work orders being completed
• Additional duties to support the Maintenance department as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain a safe work environment for all employees to work in with emphasis on minimizing injuries through improved housekeeping and safe work habits/procedures
• Expected continuous improvement in the quality of all work in the execution of predictive/preventative maintenance of all facility machines, tooling, and support systems
• Meet or reduce budgeted material and labor cost variances with emphasis on scheduled preventative maintenance on a timely basis
• Maintain accurate employee records in preparation for a fair and equitable assessment of performance to be administered during and at the completion of the fiscal year for all employees
• Maintain and educated workforce through continuous training and discipline programs
• Implement and maintain a parts inventory at lowest possible costs, but suitable for the plant's support of all operations with minimum delays to fulfill our goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Have a proven track record of motivating a workforce to meet the expected department goals which would include maintenance of all equipment to provide support to Production, Safety, Housekeeping and Quality
• Knowledge of plastics and their related process equipment in thermoforming and extrusion
• Computer literate in maintenance and office systems
• An in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical process.
• Detailed knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including troubleshooting of AC/DC systems, PLC, Motors, Systems, and Controllers.
• Ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.
• Has the knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.
• Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.
• Must be capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment up to fifty pounds
• Able to push, pull or carry light loads.
• Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
