Purpose Statement The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our plant equipment through mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repairs, as well as preventive maintenance. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance failures effectively. Utilize assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals to optimize equipment performance, applying electrical and logic principles to resolve equipment issues. Employ basic plumbing, metalworking, and facility maintenance knowledge as required. Work with various operating devices, including gages, RTDs, pressure transmitters, and flow meters. Provide training to new Associates and team members on essential maintenance skills. Maintain a safe and organized work area in compliance with GMP and Safety standards. Operate Richs SCADA system and ensure completion of necessary paperwork. Perform additional related duties as assigned by Team Leader. Assist in training operating Associates on basic troubleshooting techniques and support production efforts as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience 3-5 years of experience in food processing, particularly with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment featuring advanced control systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A keen ability to train other Associates in maintenance operations. A collaborative spirit with a willingness to work within a Self-Directed work team. Proficiency in operating the Richs SCADA system. General mechanical understanding alongside electrical and logic principle knowledge. Basic knowledge of plumbing, metalworking, and general facility/building maintenance. A strong awareness of Associate Safety guidelines and the ability to adhere to them. Knowledge of GMP and Food Safety practices. Understanding of proper machine operating and adjustment procedures. The ability to contribute actively to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement, and Temporary Teams as needed. COMPENSATION In accordance with state law, the estimated base compensation for this role ranges from $28.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on factors like experience, knowledge, skills, and shift differentials.
