About The Position Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: State License Required prior to start Certifications: BLS, RCIS/CCI Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with charting systems Description: Cath Lab Tech position in the Radiology/Cardiology field. The shift consists of 5 days with hours from 07:30 to 16:00. Low STEMI call required once every third week. Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization is essential. Skills in cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, and adult diagnostic catheterizations are expected. Proficient in IABP placement/removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left heart catheterization, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) is necessary. Knowledge of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), right heart catheterization, and rotablader atherectomy is needed. Candidates should have experience with scrub procedures, equipment setup, and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias. Ability to maintain a sterile field and perform as a room circulator is required. Special procedures such as Impella insertion, temporary pacemaker, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation/replacement (TAVI/TAVR) are part of the job. Qualified candidates will also perform angioplasty, aortography, embolization, renal angiography, and renal artery stent placement. Experience with carotid angiography, stenting, and central venous access/port placement is required. Skills in dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions, and both upper and lower extremity angiography are essential. Knowledge of fluoroscopy and ultrasound usage is preferred. Accurate monitoring and preparation of access sites are important. Candidates should have experience with thrombolysis and thrombectomy procedures. Understanding of EVAR (endovascular aneurysm repair) and TEVAR (thoracic endovascular aortic repair) is a plus. The unit typically sees adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 10. The facility is equipped with three rooms to accommodate patient care needs.
