Communication Strategist
Kalman & Company, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, performance driven individual with strong business and information systems experience to work closely with our Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clients. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, strategic thinking, research, and analytical skills and the ability to principally contribute to several of the largest and most significant studies in Kalman's portfolio. This position will be primarily on-site in Camp Springs, MD. This role is tied to a contract proposal. The proposed salary range for this position is $110K/yr-$140K/year.

Specific Duties: Expertise in executive-level communications, messaging frameworks, and stakeholder engagement Experience supporting organizational change management initiatives Ability to coordinate across functional teams to ensure clear, consistent messaging Support the development, execution, and assessment of stakeholder outreach plans and campaigns aligned with program and DHS strategies Develop and execute communication strategies with clearly defined target audiences, key messages, and delivery channels in adherence with Plain Language guidelines and 508 compliance standards Facilitate stakeholder engagement, awareness campaigns, and training sessions Leverage Prosci, lean agile, and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies for change adoption, with focus on aligning agency, division, and program objectives Implement feedback and continuous improvement around change management and adoption to ascertain and address stakeholder perception Maintain awareness of and communicate the special interests and concerns of both internal and external stakeholders via continual coordination to support the drafting of recommendations to streamline communications, mitigate challenges and minimize miscommunications, and foster support for program efforts
Required Education/Qualifications: US Citizenship Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and executing communication strategies for federal programs Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills tailored for diverse audiences Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Education/Qualifications: Experience supporting large-scale DoD or DHS IT or ERP programs Prosci Change Management Certification of similar professional certification Experience supporting decision analyses
