Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care - as needed

Overview The Licensed Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing X-rays as requested by a provider, burning X-rays onto CDs, maintaining review of all Radiology Reports and Patient Follow up. Plays a vital role in patient care and patient flow within the clinic.
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing the legal scope of practice for Radiologic Technologists. Position requires rotating to all urgent care locations.
What you will do
Positioning and Performing X-ray Exams ordered by Provider. Preparing and disinfecting Exam Rooms and equipment for patient exams. Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions. Securing patient information and maintaining patient confidentiality. Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Serving and protecting the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Reporting important information to the physician. *All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing the legal scope of practice for Radiologic Technologists. Responsible for support of the practitioner in providing quality medical care to patients, assisting the practitioner with examinations and with procedures, preparation of patients for exams or procedures, triage and assessment of patients and collection and documentation of vital signs. Responsible for supporting the practitioner in providing quality medical care to patients. Assisting the practitioner with examinations and procedures. Preparation of patients for exams and procedures. Triage and assessment of patients and collection and documentation of vital signs. Prompt handling and documentation of patient phone calls, scheduling outpatient testing, and physician referrals. Cleaning and stocking of Exam rooms, Laboratory, and cleaning and sterilization of Equipment. Collection and preparation of specimens for laboratory analysis. Running patient specimens including all rapid tests. Running blood samples on Medonic, Piccolo, Biosite Machines, and Rapid Urine Drug Screens. Administration of Oral Medications within the legal scope of practice and training. Patient education as needed.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED, (Required) Associates Degree, Radiologic Tech program (Preferred) Experience
1 year Radiologic Technician experience (Preferred) () Skills and Abilities

Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) ARRT or VA Dept of Health professions licensure Upon Hire(Required) and CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) Other Requirements
