Steppenwolf is seeking a detail-oriented, curious, and collaborative
Tessitura Systems Manager
to maintain, and optimize the Tessitura CRM and ticketing platform across the organization. The TSM will serve as the project manager for all things Tessitura, such as system upkeep and reporting to troubleshooting and cross-departmental support. The TSM works closely with the Audience Services team and meets weekly with the Marketing and Development teams to ensure Tessitura helps us serve our patrons and donors with care, insight, and efficiency.
System Administration & Integrations Serves as the primary Tessitura administrator, overseeing configuration, module management, user permissions, and overall system performance. Collaborate with Tessitura Network and STC's internal IT to manage regular system updates, patches, and testing environments. Monitor overall system performance and proactively address bugs, inefficiencies, or custom feature needs. Support internal adoption of new Tessitura features by communicating benefits, coordinating testing, and gathering feedback from users. Act as project leader or technical partner for digital platform integrations. Maintain and update documentation for key reports, procedures, and data sources Data, Reporting & Insights
Develop SQL queries using SSRS and other tools, output sets, custom dashboards, and custom reports to support cross-departmental decision-making. Optimize and refactor existing queries, views, and stored procedures to improve performance and reliability Troubleshoot data discrepancies, resolve report errors, and maintain high data hygiene standards Establish best practices for data integrity, including establishing data entry guidelines, de-duplication processes, address validation, and overall record management. Collaborate with marketing, development, box office, and leadership teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable reports Partner with the Development team to ensure accurate campaign attribution, updating and troubleshooting custom reporting functionality, and accurate contribution tracking in Tessitura. Liaise with external consultants, integration vendors, and the Extended Services team at the Tessitura Network as needed for integrations, development projects, and troubleshooting escalations. Support internal users by responding to ad hoc data requests and training staff on how to access and interpret reports Lead the monthly internal Tessitura User Group meeting, for continued system education and for hive mind troubleshooting. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
3-5 years of hands-on Tessitura experience in a live performance or nonprofit setting. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar reporting tools is required. Strong communicator who enjoys solving problems and empowering others. Self-directed, reliable, and adaptable across departments and priorities. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
Salary range: $61,472-$67,620 with excellent benefit package for full time employees, including medical, dental, vision, life, and short and long-term disability insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, Ventra transit benefit program, employee assistance program and 401(k) matching retirement program.In addition, we offer a generous paid time off package that includes vacation pay, personal days, sick pay, 12 paid holidays and two cultural observance days of your choosing.
