Level 1 Trauma Center, Operating Room
Shifts:
Day (07:00 - 17:00) or Night (17:00 - 03:00), 4x10-hour shifts/week
Weekend/Call:
1 weekend shift per 4-week block (12 hours); call required 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month

Estimated Weekly Salary:
$2,640 - $2,710
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Vermont RN licenses considered case by case)
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a large Level 1 Trauma Center
Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
EPIC charting system experience within the past 2 years (required)
Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing in the OR (skills checklists required)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions); Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; must be equipped for Vermont winter conditions (November–April)
OR RN Responsibilities
Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical specialties: General Surgery, Orthopedics (including sports medicine), Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular/Open Heart (circulate only), ENT, Oncology, GYN, Urology, Dental, Plastics, Trauma, Transplant, Acute Care, and more
Utilize advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci and MAKO robotics
Deliver patient care across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, Pharmacy, Interpretation Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary)
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage (must work 2 out of 4 major holidays if scheduled)
Ensure compliance with facility documentation and orientation requirements
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling (no block schedules)
