Job Title: Entry-Level Maintenance Technician
Compensation: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience and shift
Shifts Available: Full-Time Day Shift ________________________________________ Position Summary The Entry-Level Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and comfort of healthcare and residential facilities. You will be a key part of our efforts to ensure operational continuity and create a welcoming environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to unexpected facility needs, minimizing risks and service interruptions. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks on buildings, systems, and equipment. Uphold safety procedures and comply with applicable regulations. Perform various scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks across multiple disciplines. Receive hands-on training in various areas:
Electrical:
Lighting, outlets, switches, panels, medium voltage systems. Plumbing:
Fixtures, valves, faucets, toilets, drains. HVAC:
Filters, coils, compressors, VFDs. Power Plant Systems:
Boilers, chillers, water softeners. General Maintenance:
Carpentry, painting, workspace modifications, fire/smoke wall repairs. Groundskeeping:
Snow removal, exterior building upkeep. Patient Care Equipment:
Fire detection systems, pneumatic tube systems.
Maintain an inventory of parts and document repairs accurately. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours and weekend emergencies. Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Skills & Competencies: Strong critical thinking skills and keen attention to detail. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Effective communication with coworkers, residents, families, and contractors. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various maintenance tasks. Work Environment: Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and electrical systems. Occasional contact with bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases. Engagement with residents, staff, and potentially combative individuals.
