Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler who will be responsible for building mechanical assemblies from both detailed production drawings and prototype drawings. The role involves preparing as-built drawings, packing lists, and QC-related documentation, performing quality control on third-party and in-house components as well as assemblies, and testing electrical and mechanical assemblies. Additionally, the position requires collecting and interpreting test data, assisting in updates to the QA program and documentation, and following manufacturing best practices for the marine environment and robotic systems. Designing, setting up, and maintaining dedicated workstations, tools, manufacturing jigs, and tools is also part of this role. You will ensure the shop and inventory are maintained, clean, and organized.
Responsibilities
Build mechanical assemblies from detailed production and prototype drawings.
Prepare as-built drawings, packing lists, and QC documentation.
Perform QC on third-party and in-house components and assemblies.
Test electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Collect and interpret test data.
Assist in updates to QA program and documentation.
Follow manufacturing best practices for the marine environment and robotic systems.
Design, set up, and maintain dedicated workstations, tools, and manufacturing jigs.
Maintain, clean, and organize the shop and inventory.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of hands-on experience with mechanical assembly.
At least 6 months of experience with mechanical assemblies.
1-3 years of experience with small hand and power tools.
Ability to work off work orders and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hand tools and production techniques.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
