Refrigeration Systems Technician
who will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems. This position requires adherence to stringent safety and food safety protocols. In this hands-on role, you will be involved in troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM). Key Responsibilities: Monitor, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment including pumps, condensers, compressors, evaporators, valves, and purgers. Diagnose and resolve issues with ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance. Implement and execute preventive maintenance programs to guarantee equipment reliability. Keep our PSM program up to date under the guidance of the plant engineer. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to ammonia handling and refrigeration systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Install and modify refrigeration systems and related equipment as needed. Calibrate equipment and instruments as assigned. May assist with maintaining other utility systems, such as boilers, HVAC, and water systems. Other duties as assigned. What We Are Looking For: Required Education:
An Associates degree (A.A.) or degree from a Vocational School in a maintenance technician program. Preferred Experience:
