Shift/Hours:
Forklift Hours: 12 hours / 10 hours / 8 hours
Pay:
Forklift $18/hour + $1 shift differential
Position Description Summary:
Responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, inventory control, rotation and inspection and other warehouse related duties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight to customers.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers • Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination
• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracing process
• Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests
• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports
• Responsible for inventory, rotation and inspection of freight held in the warehouse
• Complete required documentation
• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse

Working Environment:
Assignment Complexity - Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Accountability - Apply job skills and applicable corporate policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks. Impact of Decisions - Errors detectable upon supervisory review. Limited impact on corporate operations and fiscal health. Working Relationships - Regularly interact with peers and management concerning matters of limited scope and discretion. Scope - Work on problems of limited scope. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Essential Functions:
Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests. Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel): This is an entry-level position. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 0-2 years' experience preferred. Good interpersonal skills required. Must be, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory, and accounting skills. Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding; operate hand truck and fork lift; and in some cases perform tasks in inclement weather conditions
The associate's work will include:
• Operate all job-required equipment and handle all products in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
• Pack units and build pallets following the customer provided standards.
• Follow established safety guidelines; promote a safe workplace.
• Working overtime as required to meet business demand including staying over from scheduled shift and coming in on days previously scheduled off.
Qualified applicants will be able to: (Requirements)
• Lift or transfer a maximum of 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of various products.
• Must have forklift experience for forklift positions.
• Perform repetitive motion activities.
• Stand for minimum 12 hours shift.
• Read, understand, and communicate all safety and operational procedures.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer skills.
