POSITION: Leaves of Absence Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer, coordinate and ensure compliance with employee leave programs Ensure accurate and timely processing of all leave requests and documentation Maintain detailed records for each employee on leave Serve as primary point of contact for employees regarding leaves of absence procedures Manage ADA accommodations Coordinate with legal to resolve any issues or discrepancies Facilitate communication between employees, managers and other HR personnel Coordinate and track payments with third-party administrators or insurance carriers Ensure timely submission of required documentation to external providers Monitor and update leaves in Time and Attendance system Oversee and maintain accurate time and attendance records Collaborate with Payroll to ensure seamless integration of timekeeping data Generate and analyze time and attendance reports Support employees and managers with inquiries and system usage Manage and maintain support staff time and attendance records Conduct regular audits Create, update and manage employee profiles Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs Respond to employee questions regarding benefits plans, eligibility and claims REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree required 3+ years experience in Leaves of Absence administration 2+ years of experience in Benefits and Time & Attendance Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRMS, Word and PowerPoint Working knowledge of NYS leave laws (FMLA, PFL, ADA, USERRA) Familiarity with Workday preferred Strong knowledge of HRIS Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism at all times Able to diplomatically and tactfully handle confidential/sensitive information Able to practice strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Able and willing to conduct thoughtful analysis while problem-solving
