Manufacturing Test & Process Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile

Manufacturing Test & Process Engineer

with an electrical engineering background to support our production and quality assurance teams. This individual will be a hands-on problem solver who can design, develop, and maintain test and assembly fixtures, troubleshoot production issues, ensure compliance with aerospace/defense quality standards, and work cross-functionally with engineers, operators, auditors, and customers.

This is a unique role that blends technical expertise, creativity, and practical shop-floor experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-mix, low-volume, high-reliability environment and bring both engineering rigor and common-sense troubleshooting to complex manufacturing challenges.

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain

electrical test fixtures , mold/potting fixtures, and assembly tooling. • Support production by

testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues

with electrical components and assemblies. • Collaborate with QA to investigate root causes, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. • Generate and maintain

test documentation, drawings, and manufacturing instructions . • Support

final data package reviews

and customer/auditor interactions. • Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and customers to meet delivery and compliance goals. • Apply industry standards such as

IPC/WHMA-A-620

in daily work. • Train and mentor production team members on proper test and assembly practices.

Qualifications •

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). • 3-7 years of experience in

manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or process engineering

in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics. • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with electrical assemblies. • Experience developing test fixtures, assembly jigs, and potting/molding tools. • Familiarity with

AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620 , and aerospace/defense quality standards. • Ability to create and interpret drawings, schematics, and work instructions. • Excellent communication skills; able to interact confidently with auditors, customers, and internal teams. • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to apply both technical knowledge and practical reasoning to production challenges.

Preferred Experience • Previous experience in

aerospace, defense, or mission-critical electronics manufacturing . • Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement, lean practices, and root cause/corrective action methodologies. • Proficiency in CAD or other design tools for fixture development.
