The QA Manager will lead all quality and food safety operations, overseeing a small but capable QA team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys driving standards on the production floor as much as managing documentation and audits. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop QA team (3-4 direct reports). Oversee food safety programs including SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and allergen controls. Manage internal and third-party audits and ensure full compliance with FDA and customer requirements. Partner with R&D to validate new product launches and packaging changes. Oversee environmental monitoring, shelf-life testing, and corrective actions. Ensure accuracy and consistency of product labeling, traceability, and regulatory documentation. Collaborate cross-functionally with production and operations to resolve quality issues in real time. Continuously improve QA processes and promote a culture of accountability and excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred (Food Science, Microbiology, or related field). 5-10 years of QA or FSQA experience in food manufacturing. Experience with dry foods, sweeteners, or natural food products preferred. Knowledge of SQF, BRC, or other GFSI certification programs. Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, floor-based management style. Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop QA staff. Comfortable with audits, regulatory reporting, and customer interactions. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $85,000-$110000 401(k) with match Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid vacation (2 weeks after 1 year), holidays, and weekly sick time
