Key Responsibilities:
• Design, organize, and write technical content for internal developer audiences, with a focus on onboarding, use cases, and concepts, including:
o User manuals
o Onboarding guides
o System architecture overviews
o How-to articles and FAQs
o Release notes and configuration guides
• Define documentation requirements with teams, and work with engineers to create and update documentation sets.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Development and QA teams to gather source material.
• Understand new applications and features to translate technical and complex workflows into easily digestible content.
• Build documentation tailored for various audiences, including developers, internal teams, and business users.
• Develop documentation templates and style guides to ensure consistency across deliverables.
• Drive content strategies to improve onboarding efficiency and user enablement.
• Review and update documentation in response to product updates and user feedback.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all documentation is aligned with product development timelines.
Required Qualifications:
• 8-12 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a product-based or SaaS company.
• Proven experience creating onboarding documentation and user guides for cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in tools such as:
o Confluence, Notion, or similar documentation platforms
o Markdown, HTML/CSS (a plus)
o Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar (optional but useful)
o Version control systems like Git (basic understanding)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background or certification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working with enterprise-grade software and internal tooling.
• Exposure to API documentation, system diagrams, or developer-focused content is a plus.
