Join a dedicated healthcare team as an ASCP CT/X-Ray Technologist, performing a variety of imaging procedures including CT and X-Ray to support patient diagnosis and care. This role emphasizes patient safety and effective communication, serving as the primary contact for imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure patient safety during radiation therapy by minimizing risks such as electric shock, burns, and unnecessary radiation exposure. Provide compassionate care tailored to patients of all ages, including pediatric, geriatric, and general populations. Conduct thorough equipment checks and preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal functioning. Prepare and instruct patients for radiation therapy procedures, determining appropriate anatomical positioning and shielding. Verify prescribed ionizing radiation dosages for accuracy prior to treatments. Maintain strict adherence to medical and surgical asepsis protocols. Education and Experience
Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program is required. State licensure permitting diagnostic CT exams and documented training in diagnostic CT procedures. Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and nuclear medicine technology or NMTCB. At least one year of radiologic/imaging experience. CT registry certification must be obtained within one year of hire. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and cross-sectional anatomy. Proficiency with major CT/X-Ray equipment brands such as GE, Siemens, and Toshiba. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not mandatory. Specific experience and training in CT imaging highly valued. Professional Requirements
