Quality Inspector - Manufacturing & Assembly We are seeking an experienced
Quality Inspector
to support on-site inspection of manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, customer requirements, industry standards, and specifications through thorough documentation, visual, and dimensional inspections. Key Responsibilities
Perform documentation, visual, and dimensional inspections on parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies Validate product and paperwork compliance with drawings, purchase orders, standards, and specifications Inspect Certificates of Conformance from suppliers and service providers Conduct traditional inspection operations using various tools and techniques Document and report inspection findings, non-conformances, and provide rework/reject disposition via customer operating systems Utilize a personal laptop for inspection reporting and data entry Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or assembly environments Strong background in inspection of tight tolerances and complex assemblies (e.g., large mill turn parts, high-precision components) Experience with special processes and J-STD 001 soldering inspections Proficiency in First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102, including full technical data package review for traceability Skilled in both mechanical and electronic inspections (PWB, PWA) Hands-on experience with micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection tools Requirements
Strong communication skills to report and resolve non-conformances effectively Computer savvy with the ability to perform inspection reporting via SPP (Supplier Performance Platform) Must use personal laptop and cell phone for inspection tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adhere to all PPE/safety requirements Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and maneuver as needed Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
