Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWarehouse located in North Jacksonville is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for immediate start. Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating logistics, and supporting smooth warehouse operations.

Shipping/Receiving Clerk Key Responsibilities Shipping:

Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements.

Generate and verify shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, shipping manifests, etc.).

Schedule pickups with carriers and ensure shipments are dispatched on time.

Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, proper packaging, and damage prevention.

Receiving:

Unload and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage.

Verify contents against purchase orders and record discrepancies.

Process receipts in inventory or ERP systems and distribute materials to proper storage areas.

Communicate with purchasing or vendors regarding damaged or missing items.

Inventory & Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.

Update systems and logs for all shipping and receiving activities.

Organize warehouse space for efficient storage and retrieval of materials.

General Warehouse Support:

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations .

Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email, data entry).

Work Environment

Warehouse environment; exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures.

May require overtime or flexible hours during peak periods.
