Andover State Bank is looking for a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team.

Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of mortgage loan operations, underwriting, policies, guidelines and procedures. The duties of a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure that all loan documentation is accurately complete and verified in a timely manner. The loan must comply with company policies, loan product terms and program guidelines;

• Input accurate loan information into the system for processing;

• Provide support to Mortgage Loan Originators by ordering and coordinating underwriting requirements and loan documents;

• Verify loan documents including income, credit, appraisal and title insurance for submission to Underwriting;

• Manage appraisal, title, mortgage insurance and flood insurance vendor relationships to ensure timely receipt of vendor work to meet purchase contract dates and predetermined closing dates;

• Communicate with customers to obtain additional documentation for the file, in order to complete underwriting requirements and Fannie Mae guidelines;

• Communicate loan status with mortgage borrowers, realtors, builders, bank associates and other participants in the mortgage process;

• Prepare Notice of Action Taken/Statement of Denials for files;

• Maintain knowledge of rules, policies and procedures for all loan types and investor guidelines;

• Maintain knowledge of all regulations, such as TRID, OFAC, Privacy Act, Reg Z, Reg X, ECOA and any new regulations affecting mortgage loan applications;

• Follow and maintain knowledge of Fannie Mae guidelines;

• Prepare final documents for loan closings;

• Ship final documents to investors;

• Fund loans and transfer servicing by required deadlines.

This position requires the individual to provide detailed information on mortgage loans; therefore, National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration is required. If the individual is not currently registered, they will need to pass the applicable background screening to be registered.

Requirements

Education, Knowledge and Skills

High School Graduate or GED

Minimum of 4 years processing experience

Knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA, VA and USDA programs, preferred

Ability to analyze personal and business tax returns, as required

Ability to analyze appraisals and title commitments, as required

Ability to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented work environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

7 or more years of processing experience Experience with Encompass mortgage software Experience with the administrative role within Encompass
