Position Summary

Under general direction from the Manager of Building systems, the Sustainability and Building Automation Manager identifies and implements measures to reduce energy use at the institution. This professional maintains and analyses energy use data and uses the data and building audits to develop, prioritize and implement measures that reduce energy use and optimize building performance.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Perform Preventive Maintenance on Building automation:

Identifies and implements measures to reduce energy use at the institution.

Maintains and analyses energy use data and uses the data and building audits to develop, prioritize and implement measures that reduce energy use and optimize building performance. Make immediate adjustments and repairs.

Documents resulting energy savings.

2.Perform lab commissioning with building automation:

Conduct commissioning programs; educate occupants and conduct retrofits.

Conduct building scheduling.

Prepare program scope statements; specifications and building data analysis.

3. Ensure compliance with all government and/or agency regulations and directives, and LSUHSC policies and procedures.

About the School/Department

The Office of Property and Facilities Management, under the leadership of the Assistant Vice Chancellor, is responsible for the planning and administration of all property and facility operations and maintenance for LSU Health Sciences Center - New Orleans. The office provides oversight of the planning of space and property, capital budgeting, construction management, and building management to include renovations, maintenance, and repair of University buildings and facilities; and the provision of utilities, grounds care, custodial, trash collection, recycling, and other services.
