3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team at our production facility located at 1840 Internationale Parkway Woodridge, IL. The successful candidate will focus on troubleshooting and repairing industrial packaging equipment and facilities support equipment with a strong emphasis on maintenance and safety. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Disassemble equipment, rebuild and replace defective parts such as motors, gear boxes, clutches, and bearings, then reassemble and make final adjustments. Collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel, both individually and as part of a team. Duties and Responsibilities: Streamline and enhance changeover procedures. Support Line Workers during the changeover process. Set up fill lines for production runs. Perform changeovers and setups on assigned equipment and lines. Repair machinery and related equipment as needed. Dismantle defective equipment and install repaired or new parts. Prioritize safety by adhering to all safety policies and using personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist the supervisor with overall production line operations. Engage with senior management as necessary. Participate in various projects, meetings, and any additional duties assigned. Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with carton erectors, carton sealers, liquid fillers, case packers, palletizers, cappers, conveyors, labelers, etc. is beneficial. Experience with blow molding equipment such as Uniloy or Bekum is a plus. Job Type:

Full-time Core Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Basic understanding of electrical systems. Ability to provide a basic set of mechanic's hand tools for the job. Willingness to work overtime as required. Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of AC (480-120v) and DC (180-low voltage) electrical systems. Excellent troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems (pneumatic, gearboxes, hydraulic, etc.). Self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Able to stand for long periods (80-90% of the shift). Ability to lift and move items weighing 40 to 60 pounds. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
