Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for evening shifts with current ARRT (R) and (CT) certification and Epic charting experience.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital CT and diagnostic radiology department Evening shifts; 12-hour shifts, three days per week Position focuses on routine and specialized CT scans as well as diagnostic radiology exams Care provided to patients of all ages Must operate and troubleshoot CT and diagnostic radiology equipment Requires use of Epic EMR for charting and documentation Setting is a Level 1 Trauma center No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 50-mile radius Perform routine and specialized CT and radiologic exams, adapt procedures as needed for diagnostic accuracy, and assist radiologists with invasive procedures Responsible for obtaining and documenting pre- and post-procedure data, ordering labs, and specimen collection as needed Maintain equipment safety and cleanliness, restock supplies, and help coordinate efficient patient flow Actively participate in department quality assurance, troubleshooting, and quality control activities Expected to mentor and support other technologists and students per department needs Must adhere to hospital patient safety and confidentiality standards Return-to-work policy mandates a 6-month break after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning Maximum of 7 days requested time off is allowed per 13-week contract Scrub or dress code adherence required as per hospital policy
Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a CT Technologist Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required Current ARRT (R) and (CT) certification required Current IEMA Radiography License valid in Illinois required if applicable Current BLS certification required Experience with Epic EMR required Level 1 Trauma experience required Basic computer literacy, critical thinking, and ability to work with a diverse patient population
