Job Description
Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial/residential HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding and brazing and mechanical layouts. Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications, to Install, diagnose and repair units. Operates refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment and service gauges. Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to component level. Inspects system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications. Completion of routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and any other related equipment, which contributes to the safe and effective operation of facilities. Maintain quality of work, performance and productivity standards. Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals. Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. Keeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company. Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems experience preferred. Building controls - ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in HVAC preferred. EPA Certified 7 to 10 years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC service experience (preferred). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various environmental conditions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company.
