The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for assisting with patient care in surgery by performing technical and delegated duties under general supervision. This position functions as a member of the surgical team, providing care to patients of various age groups from neonate to geriatric. This position actively participates in delivering outstanding customer service. Additionally, this role maintains respectful relationships with all individuals involved in patient care.

Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.

Maintains high standards and quality in facilitating cost savings and containment.

Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure. Supports customer and employee satisfaction activities; maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff; and responds to complaints in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned. Monitors aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and takes immediate corrective action for any breaks in technique.

Identifies and reports environmental concerns to management and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and policies.

Supervises other healthcare team members in the surgical environment and assists with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed

:

High School Grad or Equiv [Required

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR

NCCT Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) [Required]
