Position Summary:
As a pivotal leader, the Director of Information Technology drives the Ministry's technological foundation, directly supporting the core mission of serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for all IT operations across 50+ locations spanning five Ohio regions, from maintaining critical healthcare documentation systems to ensuring reliable connectivity for emergency medical situations.
Key Responsibilities: Direct IT operations across 50+ sites, including network infrastructure, servers, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and user support. Conduct a full IT infrastructure assessment, create technology maps, and develop an IT inventory and lifecycle management process. Oversee help desk operations with measurable improvements in customer service, ticket response, and resolution times. Lead system migrations, server/backup transitions, network upgrades, and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity. Ensure HIPAA compliance with robust data protection protocols and healthcare IT security standards. Strengthen cybersecurity through updated policies, training, and technical safeguards. Manage IT components of facility expansion projects and new site integrations. Build, mentor, and define roles for the IT team while fostering skill development and accountability. Manage vendors, negotiate contracts, oversee procurement, and align technology investments with budget priorities. Partner with leadership and the Board to integrate IT strategy into organizational planning. Qualifications:
Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, or related field (required). 5+ years of hands-on IT experience and 3+ years leadership. Multi-site IT and healthcare IT experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of HIPAA, disaster recovery, VoIP, and cloud/hybrid systems. Certifications in networking, cybersecurity, or healthcare IT a plus. Must hold a valid driver's license, have an insurable driving record according to the Ministry's insurance carriers, and have reliable transportation to travel for business purposes. A demonstrated Christian background and a demonstrated ability to fulfill the mission and purpose of the Ministry. What We Offer:
