SUMMARY OF POSITION Reports to: Director of Credentialing Status: Full-time Oversee all aspects of the payer enrollment process for medical providers delivering patient care. Ensures providers are properly credentialed, appointed, and privileged with health plans in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Provides comprehensive supervision—on-site, off-site, and remote—to the Provider Relations Team, guiding all payer enrollment activities. Collaborate with the Director and departmental leadership to escalate issues and seek strategic direction. Maintains accurate, up-to-date provider data in credentialing databases and online systems, and ensures timely renewal of all required licenses and certifications. What You'll Do Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers. Completes provider credentialing and recredentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers. Maintains corporate provider contract files. Maintains knowledge of current health plans and agency requirements for credentialing providers. Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system. Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals. Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities. Processes applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges. Tracks license, DEA and professional liability expirations. Maintains ASC appointment files, and information in credentialing database. Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information. Maintains confidentiality of provider information. Provides credentialing and privileging verifications. Performs other duties as assigned. What We're Looking for: Advanced knowledge and understanding of the payer enrollment and credentialing process. Advanced knowledge of Medicare(PECOS), Medicaid and payer enrollment platforms. Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos and emails. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to research and analyze data. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet resources. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in

healthcare administration ,

Business ,

Public Health , or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Minimum of

3 years of progressive experience

in healthcare payer enrollment, credentialing, or data provider management. At least

2 years of leadership or supervisory experience

in a healthcare setting, with a focus on managing payer enrollment processes and team performance. Strong knowledge of

Medicare, Medicaid , and

commercial insurance

enrollment requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage complex enrollment workflows, resolve payer-related issues, and ensure compliance with

state and federal regulations . Proficiency in credentialing and enrollment platforms such as

CAQH ,

PECOS , and

NPPES . Familiarity with

HIPAA regulations , healthcare billing practices, and provider credentialing standards. Professional certifications such as

CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)

or

CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management)
