As we transition into full-rate production, we are expanding our operations to ensure system performance, readiness, and mission assurance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a skilled
Quality Manager for IFPC
to spearhead all program-level quality initiatives in support of production, integration, and delivery. This individual will lead the program quality team and maintain a collaborative relationship with the wider Leidos quality team while interfacing with external quality stakeholders. Lead the IFPC quality team, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO, and Army quality standards.
Mentor and develop quality engineers and inspectors for efficient operational support and continuous improvement.
Guide the program quality staff to align with corporate Quality Management System and Defense Systems Sector requirements.
Cultivate a program quality strategy that reflects commitment to excellence and rapid manufacturing scaling.
Quality Program Management & Compliance Coordinate closely with the Leidos quality team to ensure consistent process control and effective action on corrective measures.
Oversee inspection and test documentation for compliance with customer requirements.
Support production readiness reviews, configuration audits, and quality data deliverables.
Customer & Supplier Interface Act as the primary interface with external stakeholders including the U.S. Army Program Office and DCMA.
Monitor supplier quality performance, ensuring alignment with program standards.
Metrics, Analysis & Improvement Establish and analyze quality metrics to drive performance visibility and improvement.
Identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions through trend analysis.
Drive continual improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and mission assurance.
Process & Issue Management Develop and implement effective inspection strategies that meet customer and corporate standards.
Facilitate Material Review Boards and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
Address escalated quality issues efficiently.
Business Lifecycle & Reporting Serve as a quality stakeholder throughout the business lifecycle, partnering with various teams to achieve objectives.
Regularly report to leadership on inspection results and quality improvement progress.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field with 8 years of experience, including leadership roles in defense/aerospace production.
OR Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 systems is essential.
Strong background in production quality management for complex systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
U.S. Citizenship required; must possess or be eligible for a Secret clearance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
Familiarity with IBCS integration and Army missile production.
Experience in medium-volume production environments.
