Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager
Responsibilities of QA Manager:
Ensures consistent production quality by developing, implementing, and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) systems. This includes validating processes, providing necessary documentation, and managing staff to ensure all programs are maintained and followed. Oversees the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of programs such as BRC, HACCP, Halal, Gluten-Free, Organic, and Antibiotic-Free certifications, strong with any other relevant programs. Additionally, verifies monitoring activities, initiates corrective actions, and establishes preventive measures for all programs and procedures, while inspecting and reporting any quality assurance issues.
The role involves responsibility for food safety, quality control, and compliance with SQF, HACCP, and CCP standards. The role supports, implements, and helps maintain the Quality Management, BRC programs, and all relevant procedures to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Safety Duties:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and a smock. Keep your hands away from any moving parts. Use proper lifting techniques. Always maintain the Area assigned, clean and tidy. Report any accidents, equipment, or unsafe areas to the line Leader or supervisor.
Additional Notes:
Facility is approximately 64k square feet with three production lines. They do not conduct any slaughter activities- currently only processing part fried and individually frozen items. Sanitation is outsourced and the facility runs 1 st and 2 nd shift operations with 3 rd being the sanitation shift. The FSQA team is setup as a supervisor over both shifts and approximately 10 technicians per shift.
