Description
Mechanic: Full- Time
Summary: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all buildings and supporting systems owned by the Hospital. Systems include HVAC, boiler, fire protection, water, computer, and electrical systems. Ensures continuous and safe operation of all stationary engines, compressors, generators, turbines, and steam boilers that provide essential hospital utilities such as light, heat, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair hospital buildings, equipment, and mechanical systems (HVAC, boilers, fire systems, water, electrical, etc.) Operate and service stationary engines, compressors, turbines, generators, and steam boilers Diagnose, dismantle, and repair mechanical devices and equipment Fabricate or repair parts using metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder, etc.) Inspect, clean, and test equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Monitor boiler systems, perform water tests, and add chemical treatments as needed Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain proper documentation Receive and verify supplies; order maintenance materials as required Work effectively in high-temperature environments (up to 100°F)
Qualifications
Preferred : Three (3) years' experience in comparable field.
Required : Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Required : High School Diploma or equivalent.
