Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
Prepare and analyze financial reports for management, board members, and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic business planning.
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate policies.
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
Partner with other departments to provide financial insight that supports business decisions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience with [insert relevant ERP or accounting software, e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.]. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Prior experience in [insert industry, if applicable - e.g., manufacturing, nonprofit, real estate, etc.] a plus. Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
