Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) works under the direction of the Cath Lab Director or Charge Technologist to perform and monitor all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality patient care throughout each case and serves as a scrub assistant, supporting physicians during complex cardiac and vascular interventions.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy. In lieu of the educational requirements, a minimum of five (5) years' experience and:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (required within 12 months of hire) OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire).

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred). Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
